How did you first hear of ElliptiGO? In 2019 at ZAP adult running camp, Amanda connected with Jeff Caron, Sports Performance Sales Manager at ElliptiGO. We stayed in touch after he completed his marathon having used the ElliptiGO as a heavy source of training. Intrigued by the obvious benefits and inspired by other athletes, Amanda was easily persuaded that the ElliptiGO would be the perfect addition to her training.

As an active mother of two and high school Spanish teacher, Amanda is a late bloomer runner and has been noted as a serial racer – showing up to as many road races in a given season as possible in years past. But overtraining led to a handful of injuries and too much time spent in rehab. Now with the ElliptiGO in her training arsenal, Amanda continues to run 30-35 miles per week (and less racing), spending another 4-5 hours on the ElliptiGO weekly, completing workouts and easy rides alike. Never having been a “cyclist” before, everyday carries new lessons. Within the first three months of riding, she secured a 50 mile qualifying ride for the ElliptiGO World Championships, and completed the Palomar climb in 2020. In 2021, Amanda re-qualified for Worlds, then completed her first century ride in conjunction with a 24 hour event raising funds for cancer research and awareness in her hometown. Knowing personally how the ElliptiGO can bring so much benefit into an active lifestyle, Amanda is excited to share those same opportunities to others in the Charlotte Metro area.
Amanda's Journey with ElliptiGO
What is your favorite ElliptiGO bike?
The 8C long stride is Amanda’s favorite ElliptiGO bike. It was her first, and will always hold a special place as the pivotal piece that grew fitness in her training.
What is your favorite local ride?
In town, there is a quaint and cute, but large layout neighborhood with wide streets and bike lanes! Amanda can manage about 5 miles on a loop and it carries less auto traffic and is close to home with lots of residents who always comment when she goes by!
What is your longest or most memorable ride?
Amanda completed a century ride in July 2021 in her home town alongside other cyclists riding to raise funds for cancer research and awareness. The temperature was in triple digits that day and the sun was incredibly intense, but the 2 mile loop on repeat got more exciting each time.
