For the last few years, May has been a big month for ElliptiGO riders. The Every Day in May Challenge pushes many riders to go longer, farther and just more than they usually do. This year, the Global ElliptiGO Riders Club took the reins for leading the EDIM Challenge, adding it to the Get Out and GO (GOGO) program.
More than 20 participants rode at least 20 miles every day of the month. Many others gained GOGO points by completing at least 5 or 10 miles on all or most days, or by participating in organized official rides. Three riders – Jeff Baker, John Pilkington and Bill Pinnell – each totaled more than 1000 miles for May. Not content to just to ride far, Pinnell climbed 59,825 feet in May, averaging nearly 2000 feet of elevation gain per day!
In June, GOGO lowers the intensity with three mini-challenges. It’s not too late to join the fun. New GOGOers will more easily conquer the June challenges than riders who’ve already logged many big rides. Get all the details and register here.
Total GOGO miles to date: 66,000+
Total GOGO participants: 104
Looking ahead
On July 8, GOGO participants can earn double points for rides while celebrating International Elliptical Cycling Day (IECD), the anniversary of Bryan Pate and Brent Teal sitting down in a Solana Beach coffee shop, sketching a drawing of an elliptical bike, and shaking hands on their new partnership.
