The ElliptiGO Team couldn’t be more excited to announce a partnership with the San Diego Loyal Soccer Club! Fresh to the San Diego sports scene in 2020, SD Loyal SC is a USL League team, playing in the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) Division II League. Landon Donovan, regarded as one of the greatest U.S. Men’s soccer players of all time, is the Team Manager, Co-owner and EVP of Soccer Operations.
Due to the nature of the game, soccer players are often nursing injuries and always working on preventing them. SD Loyal SC now has access to two ElliptiGO 8C bikes and two Fluid 365 Stationary Trainers for cross-training and injury rehab. The ElliptiGO bikes will provide players with a low-impact workout. This type of cross-training is much more effective than a traditional bike or an elliptical machine. Even better, the ElliptiGO bikes are set up next to their practice field at the US Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista. This allows the whole team to stay together when rehabbing or getting in some additional cardio.
With home games held at the University of San Diego’s Torero Stadium, the team has strong ties with the local community. Its founders sourced feedback from the San Diego public when creating the crest for the SD Loyal SC logo. The logo’s features call out the unique beauty of this city — like the color of a Torrey Pine tree and the curve of the Coronado Bridge.
Preseason games kicked off on March 13th. Their first regular-season game is scheduled for April 30th vs Phoenix Rising. You can stay updated and join the fun through the SD Loyal recognized supporter group, The Locals.
Best of luck to SD Loyal for a great season and staying healthy and fit on the GO!
