SAN DIEGO, CA (May 6, 2014)— ElliptiGO Project athletes turned in a victory and top performances at the Boston Marathon and USA 1 Mile Road Championships this past month. Meb Keflezighi set the tone for the month with his historic Boston Marathon victory and new marathon PR of 2:08:37. Several other ElliptiGO Project members had fantastic results at Boston. Adriana Nelson ran a 2:31:15 to achieve her goal of finishing in the top three U.S. women, Craig Leon achieved his third consecutive top-15 major marathon finish in 2:14:28, and Wendy Thomas finished with a two-minute PR of 2:32:49. The next day at the USA 1 Mile Road Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, 8-time All American Katie Mackey ran a 4:35:30 mile and 2011 USA Road Mile Champion Sara Hall ran a 4:35:81 to finish second and third, respectively.
These athletes joined The ElliptiGO Project, a group of elite athletes focused on using innovative training tools and techniques to improve performance, to better leverage the expertise of the Project’s other members and advisors. The Project is currently recruiting elite athletes with ambitious goals who are interested in exploring innovative new ways of getting faster and staying healthy.
